Auction At Revesby Nsw

Featured Replies

There are some great sounding birds listed. I particularly like two hens :D Never been to an Auction nor have much of an idea about what goes on. I'd like to learn though

We need either a secret handshake or wear a red rose between our teeth at these events :D

we need to make up printed t-shirts to advertise the forum... That would be a great way to advertise amongst current budgie enthusists... Maybe we could make that a comp on here, 2010 design for tops.

I am a member of another forum.

I printed a forum logo on an A4 sheet with photoshop.

Lots of prints on one sheet and laminated it. Cut out individual ones and pinned them on with a safety pin.

It was a great success.

You just need a logo and make you own badge.

That's not a bad idea, advertising the forum.

Warren Wilson sent me over the Auction catalogue and the BRASEA Summer bulletin for me to ponder over which was lovely of him - I was thinking maybe we could advertise the forum in the BRASEA Bulletin? As it's apparently the only bulletin that gose to ALL budgie clubs in Australia, I figured that would work well - gets the forum name out there and what its about? I'd be happy to pay the cost for that if a moderator was able to okay it?

What do you all think?

I met Neat at a brasea a couple of years ago , Had a hot chocky , its nice to actually meet some people that are regulars on the forum , Pity she isnt around here much now , Shes a really nice person.

Neat was a great forum personality for a long time. Pity we lose some along the way :P

Why the change of heart in regards to bidding Amy S?

Edited by JimmyBanks

JB, I haven't heard back from the person who was going to bid for me, and also I think I may be wasting everyone's time as I don't have a large amount of money to spend. There were 4 hens I was looking at, and I was going to put all the money on the first one - if that wasn't successful, then put that money on the second one etc until I could have possibly gotten one. I don't think I'd have been successful in any of them, but wouldn't have known until I tried.

Amy you need to go vsit Gary A at his aviary sometime soon. He is a spangle man like I told you and he will look after you in regard to price. :D

Wanna come for a trek Kaz? B)

Sure...we can do this together, but it will have to wait a couple of weeks till I get some leadlight work completed :D

That's okay B) Will give me more time to finish sorting my aviary - well providing I am able to and the weather lets up :D Just enough for me to get it done - then the heavens can open up as much as they like!

How much do budgies go for at this auction roughly..... Saw theres no reserve price on them!!!

B)

Depends on the bird NOWBUDGIE, could be $20 could be $100, could be $500, could be $1000... you get my point?

JB is right...all depends on how much one or more than one person wants that particular budgie B)

Last week at Eastern Districts I think 3 birds went for over $1000 the top price was $1600. At Geelong the top price was $700 or something. Predicting prices is like betting on horses, but not just betting on a winner, but also betting on by what length it'll win by...
