Posted February 25, 201015 yr Hi Kaz Thanks so much for the pinup on cages. I have cage type C in the good cages section. I am hoping you might be able to advise on populating the cage. At present we have two pairs and an extra. Will the cage house three breeding pairs comfortably? We were going to move on the non-paired bird. Thanks for the help. Regards Carol

Regards Carol I wouldnt put breeding pairs all in together as you will have heartache, possible deaths, definitely fights, smashed eggs and maybe maimed or killed babies. HOWEVER...with that cage you can divide it through the middle creating a top section and a bottom section and have one breeding pair in each section with their own nestbox. Easily screwed into from outside..screws left a little longer to position and stabilise the board.
February 25, 201015 yr I agree with Kaz, great cage but don't colonise, dividing top and bottom with a board to make separate breeding cages is great - no view from those above and no poop either! I have a similar design but luckily it provided an option to be one full enclosure OR two - with separating grate and pan. Good Luck!
