:o to my dismay yesterday I was sitting outside on our patio enjoying watching my budgies in their portable cage when I noticed ants crawling inside the cage!

 

I quickly cleaned the cage inside & outside...so from now on the cage when outdoors will be sitting in a large pan of water!!

 

Years ago we were breeding finches, ants ate the poor babies so I am very aware of the damage ants can do to birds. :huh:

I had no idea ants could eat baby birds! :D Will they have a go at the older birds too?

 

Ugh, I hate ants at the best of times.
