What do the experts think....is this a greywing spangle or a cinnamon spangle? Thanks for your help.

cool...I will hang up the washing and will be back shortly .

They seem to vary a little as far as the colour of the quill the tail.

 

Here is a young spangle greywing hen

her main tail quill is white and the other tail feather quills are grey

 

Male spangle greywing

 

and his tail ( he dropped one tail feather as I put him on the show cage )

 

 

as you can see his main tail feather quills are grey.

why the variance, I do not know. Maybe someone can elaborate on that

Thanks for the photos KAZ. It's very interesting. Love your show type greywings.

My pet type greywing spangle has wing markings like yours and the quill of the main tail feather is also white and other tail quills are grey.

It will be interesting to see my little guy after his first moult....green might get darker and the cheek patch might change.
