Posted February 11, 201015 yr Hi All, For the last few days my dark eyed clear hen has been sitting "flipping"? her wings. It's like she's going to fly but doesn't. Doing it repeatedly out in flight or in aviary on perch. Is this a sort of breeding behaviour or what? I haven't noticed any others do it.
February 12, 201015 yr I know mine sometimes does it if she thinks I'm giving the cockatiel more attention food wise. Maybe it's trying to get another birds attention.
February 12, 201015 yr Author Thank's ratsy, it was just something new that I hadn't noticed before, I keep watch to see if I can work it out.
February 16, 201015 yr When the budgie flap there wings without flying, they are stretching/exercising their wing muscles. Edited February 16, 201015 yr by birdluv
