Posted February 6, 201015 yr Hi all, having a bad day, miss placed my car keys agggrrhh. We have searched high and low, every little nook and and what ever you call it. I really started panicing when I relised that my budgie meeting tuesday night, and crikey having the locks redone. Have been searching for 3 hours now and I have had enough. We stripped the car, because that's where it all started because of all the rain the tyre well filled up with water :fear and I mean filled up over night and the floors were saturated too because the stupid idiot the garage put the new back seal on the wrong way and boy did that annoy. I women I had to fix it and did a better job the the man at the garage So guess what I am having a BAD day. Has anybody else lost their car keys and had a drama over it. Worried if I can't find them I will have order new onces could take weeks or get all the locks and ignition changed :fear cost a fortune. And of course my budgie meeting Tuesday night and I year my new job with clearwing and Oh yes lost his key too I am actually worried the grandkids took them or put them somewhere Oh yes it is my fault because Greg told me to get a new set cut months ago and did I NO
February 6, 201015 yr I do ALL the time, but it's all my keys, including house. I always get myself into a state, panic and end up in a lather of sweat. I have now got a bowl that I try and put them in as soon as I get home... hopefully it will help. I hope you find them... don't forget to look in your pockets.
February 6, 201015 yr It's sooooooo annoying!!! I have to say it is the number 1 reason that I am a member with the RAC.
February 6, 201015 yr Happens to me all the time. I usually find it has slipped off somewhere i left it....................off a sideboard, off the side of the lounge, covered by a piece of paper or something, left in the birdroom, kicked under the couch, outisde due to checking the letterbox or something on the way in the house.
February 6, 201015 yr Author Urrggghhh Have looked in the freezer in the fridge :fear in the rubbish bins, emptied out the big green big and the recycle bins . Under the couch, in my pockets. under the fridge, stripped the car, in the bird room and aviaries. Near the computer , near the phone next to the microscope. on the front lawn and I am going crazy, every draw under the bed in the bathe room in all my budgie record books and no where to be found.
February 6, 201015 yr Author Gee I hope so , I am feeling so stranded at the moment. No freedom with out my little car I Greg said when we relax and stop looking they will just turn up, gee I hope he is right. He said they are probably just sitting somewhere looking at us
February 6, 201015 yr Have you checked in the couch cushions? We have an upholstered chair that can take in a lot of things between the arm and the seat cushion, and you would never know they were there if you didn't fish in there really deep. (The remote is always going down there.)
February 6, 201015 yr Author Thanks everyone but Nar checked between the cushions on the chair and lounge and I haven't been in Greg's car for a week. This is driving me nuts.
February 6, 201015 yr Splatt I would of thought you would be in a area, were you would't need to take your keys out of your car, at home.I could think of nothing worse then losing the keys. so far,I have been lucky, as I don't have to remove the keys from the car when I come home,I am always misplacing my glasses & wallet, when I come home I place them up on the cupboard but that could be in any room I walk into.
February 6, 201015 yr Being the mom of five, I'm usually pretty good at helping people find stuff. But that doesn't mean my powers will work across oceans. But just in case, here goes. Mom's # 1 rule of looking for something: Look under the bed (or sofa, depends on the room you're in) Check, you've done that. #2, look where it belongs. (My kids never can find the things that have been put away properly. It's like in Snow White: "The dishes ain't stole, they's hid in the cupboard!" Then after checking all the places you think it could be, start looking in all the places you think it could NOT be. (After all, it's not somewhere you would expect.) My kids never believe this one. They say "Mom, it won't be THERE" This, of course, causes them to find the item. Splat, it sounds like you've already been checking unlikely places, i.e. the fridge. Have you checked the grass between the car and the house? My daughter found a set of keys that way once. I don't really know what else to suggest, but I'm sure you will find them, like Greg says, when you stop looking. Good luck.
February 6, 201015 yr I know this sounds stupid but have you checked the car door , the front or back door, oh yes empty out your hand bag again as I know that all women have hand bags that can hold a shop full of goodies . Ross
February 6, 201015 yr Author Did all the Ross BUT GOOD NEWS FOUND THEM, but really unbelievable where they were, they would of bit both of us a hundred times while we were searching. I am embarressed to say they were on the kitchen table the whole time under Gregs open pigeon book. BUT he made me feel good because I said I can't believe that as the lab top is at one end with some on my budgie record books because i am putting all my records on to the budgie program and I checked all around the lab top and inside everybook and nothing and the only other thing on the kitchen table was Greg pigeon book opened with the cover up. But Greg said don't feel bad because he checked there too and grapped the envelope that the book came in and through in the bin and didn't lift the book either. ANY WAY as long as I have them going to get a new set cut tomorrow. Thanks guys for your ideas
February 7, 201015 yr Author Yes I know, how embarrissing, but I am so glad I found them but I was really annoyed because i missed the shops yesterday Going to be more careful from now on
February 7, 201015 yr I am constantly searching for my keys...once I decided to buy one of those little key-finder devices that makes a sound when you clap so you can follow the sounds and find your keys.....but I lost the key finder before I ever got to put it on my key ring....I'm hopeless!
February 7, 201015 yr I got a keyrack and hung it on the wall............its great. I remember to hang my keys on it some of the time and Ken never does
February 7, 201015 yr Author Yes yesterday I was wishing I had one of those little key finder thing but I didn't and I siad to Greg I think we should get a key holder and hang up near the mantle so I will always no where they are
February 7, 201015 yr I use to have this keyring that when you whistled it would beep back at you , it was great never lost the keys in the house again . My cousins would hide them and play games to see who could find them first .
February 7, 201015 yr that keyring sounds like a very helpful little device, might have to keep an eye out for one myself, also sounds like it would keep the kids entertained too
