Megan,our daughter wanted to see what Budgies they had at the petshop. So off we went to "window shop" again, lol. Well to make a long story short, we wound up with three more Budgies a pair to add with her other two and we picked up a skyblue cinnamon hen,which we named Skye. hmmmm grand total of birds is four zebra finches and 11 Budgies. We are looking for an all white male to put with Skye. They had two white ones down there, but they were both hens. So the store took our phone number and will call us when a white male Budgie comes in. We give the staff there lots of practice catching the Budgies lol. See I told you we would not say this is it for awhile. Will post pics of Stormie,Ollie,and Skye as soon as we get around. the daughters Bugies are a regular grey hen and a grey green male. Will have to post a picture of a blue male of hers named Jimmy. man it sure is getting crowded in quarantine, we own just about every cage that Big W advertises for quarantines, we have good sized cages prepared for when all come clear out of quarantine.

Skye,our cinnamon blue budgie spotted our green olive in another cage and keeps pacing back and forth along the cage. I just got back from attending our quarantine area and she is still running back and forth along the cage and flying back and forth along the cage. I was placing Skye into the cage and I honestly can say females bite a heck of alot harder. Ollie I was placing him into our temp cage when we clean other cages and he just walked right into the cage with no worries. okay names so far: Kramer,Hedwig,Jessie,Ollie,Jimmy,Stormie,Stan,Skye,Harley,Mitchi. Darla the recessive pied is the daughters one. We are on call for when the store receives in a male white budgies as we stated before. Jessie,the one who is on the bad hair day picture, is still in the process of molting, I just vacuumed near the cages and she had a boat load of feathers under hers. Ahhh, nice and quite now, they all must have settled down for the night. We just got a big cage today from a chap who was getting rid of his, and we have it cleaned and ready for when the birds start clearing quarantine.

How far away from the other birds is your quarantine area ?

we manage to make space in the garage for the quarantine, the main cages for cleared birds are in the house, the olive green is in another quarantine cage in that area. We had just put her in into her cage, with only two bites from her this time lol. he was across the garage in cage. Ollie our light green budgie is almost ready to clear quarantine and be put in one of the main cages. I keep a record of when we got the birds,where they are from, what treatments we have done such as spraying them with mite treatment and giving them some vitamins in the water. Might have to purchase more cages for quarantine as it looks like we need more out there. We noticed two of the birds recently bought have breeding bands on them both NSW, but not sure as who it may be as I haven't caught then and held them long enough to read it, but they look like they are from the same breeder. can a grey green and a white based grey both come from the same clutch, as they both appear to be from same person and the numbers are close (058 and 060). It is a dark red band, so I am guessing both are 09 birds.
