Well I was brought up a Mick but after spending all my life breeding, growing, treating and relating with animals I believe that THEY have a way better handle on life than anything we've been able to come up with - religion, karma, whatever.

 

I'm a bit more into kaos theory actually - seen way too many BAD people get away with doing BAD things to believe in karma.

l have never heard of a Mick? What is that?

Got to admit I'm with Nubbs on the Chaos Theory otherwise known as the 'Butterfly Effect' and 'Fractals' are just awesome.

I am not familiar with the Chaos theory but have heard of the "Butterfly Effect", didn't know they were one and the same.

 

The thing about the Butterfly Effect, at least the way I see it, is that it is a fascinating theory but I sometimes wonder if really you need to take into account "relative and simultaneous effects". IE, was that cyclone really the effect of a little butterfly flapping its wings elsewhere, or were there other factors in play such as atmospheric highs and lows, variable oceanic temperatures, etc?

Well, I am going to ruin the whole "Cosmic balance/intoxicating drink made from the root of a polynesian plant debate" and go with the "I do not believe in Karma" debate.

 

I am a Christian who does not believe in the cosmic roundabout that good things happen and bad things happen and the universe weighs us all up.

 

Call me old fashioned or traditional or whatever you like, but I believe that there is a God who will judge us at the end of our lives on what we have done.

 

That is what I believe. I do not preach, I often do the wrong thing, I know I am far from perfect, but I know that God loves me.
