Help My Budgie Is Doing The Nasty With My Cockatiel.

Hi everyone I have a 2yr old male Budgie & a 4 month old Cockatiel.

Lately my Budgie Beau has been climbing onto my Cockatiel Chopper who isn't impressed by this at all he tries to keep Beau away but he's not quick enough I don't know if he's actually humping him or if he's just getting a ride (i'm laughing at myself typing this it's quite odd & amusing).Also is it possible for a Budgie & a Cockatiel to mate?

I don't want to seperate them because they get along well except for this problem.

Any help or a reason for this behaviour would be much appreciated.

This is very common behavior in an older budgie to a younger budgie or a younger tiel, personally thought it is cute the budgie can get hurt when if the tiel gets quicker. I would only keep them together supervised. This is exactly what Pretty did to Merlin (a budgie) when I first got him, could be a sexual thing or a dominance thing.

Would getting another Budgie solve the problem or would it then be 2 against 1.Not sure if this makes any difference but Beau always regurgetates food & feeds it to Chopper they never fight only when Beau tries to get on him otherwise they don't like to be apart.
