Look, when the chips are down I have no fear of a "fight" and I am none too subtle about how I feel. I try not to fight dirty and I do not recruit "allies". However, I understand that if you feel someone is picking on your friend you want to help them - it is a curiously "aussie" trait I have seen time and time again, believe me it is not universal. :)

I am glad at least some of the birds I sent you are to your liking GB, I put a lot of time into choosing them for you. It is most regrettable that I thoughtlessly pulled a couple of them out of breeder boxes before sending them off to you, I have brain flits is all I am prepared to say about that. The silver lining to that is that I will never make that mistake again.

I will not be mixing my Rec Pied line with my Dommie Pied line, they have different bloodlines. :D

okay renee It's time to make up as I am sooooo over this, you have your waying of doing things and I have mine but I am not a smart **** far from it. I relise you really didn'y aim it at me but that but that is the way it came across.

As I breeder and a shower I have heaps to learn, I am always listen and try to get my head around everything.

I did buy a bird from a pet shop and bred some nice birds actually one of the best hens I have but at the same time I new what I was buying and Greg was with me.

BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME SMART **** the bird was part of my bloodline.

Re-read the post. It was never aimed at you, it was a general statement. :)

As much as it pains me I may have to start using the "aussie" 2nd Person Plural 'Yous' to avoid confusion - or not! ^_^ Perhaps you will bear in mind that You 2nd Person Singular is also You 2nd Person Plural? :D

Yes but I am a person who went to a pet shop and bought a bird for my breeding program so of course I took it at aiming at me or someone like me.

But hey we are all friends here it's all forgotten but I do believe in helping out anyone that needs help or info on my birds.

^_^

BUT I still believe in strict records of my birds

PS Amy S ....I hope you enjoy your new birds...a " gift" from me but no $ s exchanged hands. :D

Gosh I can't believe I missed this bit!!! YESSS I love them, they are brilliant. That cock kept his lustful advances going all the way home *batters eyelashes* - much like Santa did haha amorous creatures!! :hap:

Back on topic though, I am grateful for all the information I receive from everyone here - it is very important to me.

Besides, call me selfish, but we can't have this forum fall apart because of differences of opinions - gosh then where would I get my info from? I'd suffer major withdrawal symptoms if that happened!!:(:D

:D

Yes Macka your right, I know where this breeder sells his birds and he does part with some good ones.

Sorry to come on so far down the track, BUT, I presume that birds are similar to race horses, only one in a million becomes a champion. As a complete "backyard breeder". I will probably never (to 0ld to start now) go into show birds. I nevertheless bought from a show breeders cull. Just to improve my pet types into better looking and sized birds.I am having fun trying to work out what I can breed to MAYBE get e.g. clearwings, pieds etc. JUST FOR THE FUN OF THE EXPERIMENT. My only intention was to have an aviary of pretty budgies I can enjoy and if I choose to breed a few more to sell to "the Public" pets have to come from somewhere. DON'T TAKE YOURSELVES SO SERIOUSLY, guys and think back to why you started your hobby??? in the first place. Now let's all kiss and make up and blame it on the weather eh!!! Talk about mountains and molehills. Least said soonest mended etc. :laughter: JUST MY OPINION, MIND. :)

We kissed and made up days ago....none of us are at odds with each other B)

:laughter: Bravo!!!

Of course you don't, nor do I and have not done so for some years now. :laughter:

I am still at a loss to explain how one of my birds ended up in SA of all places! B)

Well I had birds from you once, and then we had Liv over here from S.A. Chances are high she passed one on. And as you dont seem to keep records of your culls....I guess the new owner will never know anything from you.

Also Liv bought birds at the auction where you sold birds and it could have been amongst those.

Yes That was me. He was of little use to me so i moved him on to a new club member who would be able to pair him. He was the grey cock i bought off of you at the MBC auction in 2008. I couldn't get his details off you then. so i sent the new owner your way to see if you would help her out....no such luck... oh well... perhaps you could give ME the details, seeing as I gave you the money for him :)

Yep we kissed and made up days ago

BUT

come on Renee give Liv the pedigree or background of that bird. :)

Edited by splat

For the record If anyone buys one of my bred budgies from the Pet Shop or second-hand from someone else, Do not contact me. I will not give you any details, more than likely I will deny the bird was ever actually mine. :D

Only people who buy directly from me are privy to a bird's background. :D

Actually I have already been contacted by someone in SA who picked up one of my birds from someone else. I explained very nicely to them that that person had not got that bird directly from me and in all likelihood it wasn't mine. :laughter:

And just to clarify to en earlier edit you posted, NO at the 2008 Christmas MBC written auction Liv did not purchase any of my birds, you see I would remember her giving me any money for birds. B) Plus she has a charming habit of keeping the breeders of her birds up to date with progress reports and while we have all heard in length about Renee and how almost 50% of her chicks produced Feather Dusters when paired to a Rob Dunstan cock, otherwise there has not been even a chirp. :) So codswallop and moonshine to that theory. :)

B) another good reason for keeping good records I supose.

My dearest Liv, I am so sorry you got caught in the cross fire. Please accept my apologies.

As I understand the bird is no longer yours and Kaz has ably and succinctly compiled how I felt about the subject.

Did I breed it? Was it really a cock? :P Who knows! :P Do I care? No! :P

All I will say is that just sometimes things are not the way they seem and you can read something into a situation and maybe you are right, and just maybe what you choose to believe has more to do with your preconceptions than anything else. :P

After all this Renee, how about you showing the generous and giving and loving side of your personality and adopting a more open and giving approach in the future to anyone inquiring after a bird you bred,..... no matter what it sold for or no matter where they bought it. After all, you do believe in Karma, and you DO have a giving spirit and soul. :P
