Posted January 25, 201015 yr Our one budgie Ollie is singing away in another cage. Our other male Kramer tilts his head towards the direction of Ollie, as he can hear him from the other room. Kramer listens to what is being sung, and then does it back. It seems like if Kramer gets it, Ollie then will sing differently, if Kramer stuffs it up, Ollie then proceeds to sing the same thing again, and as soon as Kramer sings it back perfectly, Ollie sings something else. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but it seems like Ollie is teaching Kramer lol.
January 26, 201015 yr Probably is. I know a budgie who learnt how to wolf-whistle of a cockatiel and I think it learnt how to swear because it told me to shut up!
January 26, 201015 yr males are excellent at learning how to repeat song from different sources and that is how they learn to talk too.
January 26, 201015 yr Cosmo taught Piccolo to talk, for sure. (By the way, does my Cosmo share the same namesake as your Kramer? )
January 27, 201015 yr Author If it was from Seinfeld, then yeah. The Bird has some pratfalls that reminds me of Kramer. He's always eating, gets along with all the other budgies. still trying to find a Jerry,Elaine, and George lol.
