Posted January 18, 201015 yr We saw an ad in the paper in our area, we called him up. We asked of what types does he have. He rattled off a few colours such as blue, white, then he said he had few purple ones for sale, if anyone is interested, pm us and we will give the number of the breeder. He is based in Wollongong area of NSW. We bought a bird from him before, they looked all healthy and well kept. Just wanted to pass that information along. As we have been told that Violets are rare, whether that is true or not as this guy has a few of them. Hope everyone is having a great day. Tom & Toni :sadsorry:

January 18, 201015 yr Violets arent rare but may be rarely seen in petshops as they would be the first ones sold. Howeever members on here most likely would appreciate being told where they can get one if they are after some themselves
January 18, 201015 yr Author These would be pet ones. Sorry about the confusion, I forget that there are ones for show and ones for pets lol. This was the breeder where we got Kramer, our violet budgie, from. We were just looking for a Budgie and he happened to be still available for sale,we grabbed him right away. He kept eyeing my dinner off that I had set next to the cage, and had gone off to do something else real quick, I was told he kept looking and kept sliding over to where the dinner was, when he realized he was being watched, he slid back to the other side of the perch and kept doing that till I got back, lol
January 19, 201015 yr There's always a few in the petshop round here for some reason. Maybe somebody supplies them.
