Posted January 16, 201015 yr Hi! I have two budgerigars, Flappy and Tweety. Flappy is going through a moutling stage and I'm not sure if he is moutling because he has feathers that look like sticks on his head. So I'm pretty sure he just moutling, but i want to find out a way to stop him nibbling, because sometimes it's just soft nibbling but sometimes it can hurt! I hav not been reacting to the biting in hope that he will stop. But it hasn't been working. Also, my other budgerigar-Tweety -she keeps on running away from me everytime i try and get her to go on my finger. I just can't seem to get her to trust me. Please help with Flappy and Tweety!! Thanks heaps! Edited January 16, 201015 yr by smiley9193

I would continue to ignore the biting. When budgies go through a molt they will usually become cranky. Also, my other budgerigar-Tweety -she keeps on running away from me everytime i try and get her to go on my finger. I just can't seem to get her to trust me. Please help with Flappy and Tweety!! Thanks heaps! How have you been taming her? Have you checked out the FAQ section of the forum? One of our member's Elly, made an excellent article on taming.
