January 17, 201015 yr Kaz, sorry to hear about this situation. I have one concern though after reaading through this thread; I only hope the person or persons resposible don't read this forum because they will have been informed of the new security measures and that you haven't contacted the police. Might be a good idea to throw a few more surprises in there and not mention it in here.I have a relative high up in the police force....he has advised some measures that I havent disclosed here i think kaz is not as predictable as some of you may think You are smarter than the average bear arent you GB not sure about smarter but not a dim as some would suspect im a bit of a false outer proseption to people kaz Edited January 17, 201015 yr by GenericBlue
January 17, 201015 yr One thing that doesn't make sense to me is the following-If someone has gone to the trouble of jumping your perimeter to gain access, evidently checked out your aviary construction and come back with tools - Why didn't they just access the flights the same way you do via the breeding room? (I'm not giving anything away here 'cause you've mentioned that in your thread about your aviary) As you have intimated, they wanted to make it so that it wouldn't be noticed and obviously been interrupted - if they had gone in the normal way you wouldn't have been the wiser! To access the same way we do Renee, means crossing our yard and more chance of being seen. Seems whoever has been at the aviary is coming in from the back or over a neighbours fence or another way which I wont disclose right now. Also I lock the doors of my birdroom. Hmmmmmmm. But this guy likes to take things apart and how difficult is it to unscrew your Breeding room handles .... and if you were in your workshop at the time .... ? I'm just saying that it seems back to front to me.

Breeding room handles are attached ( bolted ) from inside..........not screwed on outside. aviary to flights is lockable ( old photo ) Edited January 17, 201015 yr by KAZ
January 17, 201015 yr Author would you not look a lot more obvious walking across a yard? Not to mention getting the dogs undivided attention

I know we all have a variety of security measures in place, but How many of us routinely lock things up all the time? - I know I didn't ... but I will.

I began that habit the moment the new flights were finished.
