Posted January 14, 201015 yr My name is Nat. I'm 11 years old turning twelve. I'm allergic to nuts, dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, basically animal fur, grass and dust mite! I love all animals but birds are really special. My grandad is a birdwatcher and I've been birdwatching since I was 4-5. I have chooks, a pet sheep, a lizard, a cockatiel and two budgies. I live on a sort of half-farm on the edge of town. I go to the local aivary lots because I'm friends with most of the birds there except a sulphur crested cockatoo called Riley. The friendly ones include... The B-Flock, made up of budgies, Rocky, the other suphur crested cockatoo, Charlie, a crimson rosella who talks when I call his name and comes to me, Pinky, Pinky 2, Pinky 3, galahs that always come down in the same order, Ringo the ugly duck, Percy and Percival, the two peacocks and Eddie the emu, who I race up and down the hill. Riley is basically the only unfriendly one that tries to dig himself out of the aivary. I live in Victoria, hamilton.
January 14, 201015 yr  Ratzy! I am sorry to hear about all your allergies. Birds tend to shed quite a bit of feather dust but you should be okay if you keep then in an open style aviary. Would love to see photos of all your animal friends!
January 14, 201015 yr Author Next time I go I'll take photos. Do you have any allergies? I don't seem to be allergic to birds, must be just the fur that gets me!

January 14, 201015 yr Hi Ratzy, I'm Robyn, and I agree with you, birds are special! What are the names of all your animals?
January 15, 201015 yr Author Thanks, there's Amy the sheep, Marigold and Skye the budgies, Beepa the cockatiel, Skuttle the lizard and I named one of the chooks Re-Ject, because it is half blind and only has half a beak!

January 15, 201015 yr Here I am with Rocky, Got a bigger picture ? we are allowed pictures here of 640 by 480. Yours is 160 by 120. Actually, Ratzy, I would caution you against putting up larger pictures of yourself on the internet, even on a place as family-friendly as this forum. You are young, I would be getting your parents opinion on this. But Kaz is right, bigger pictures of birds are easier for us to see.
