Thanks Liv and Kaz but it has turned out to be a disaster, they sent me the wrong one and the wrong adapter, so I am sooooooo anoyed and plus I can't even you use it. talk about being ripped off.

They sent me a cheaper version with less things on it, I want this one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ME:L:OU:AU:1123 and they sent me this one I think http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT. Stupid me for shopping over seas.

Check your order information and get in touch with them and see what they say.

Have done that Kaz sent 6 emails so far because I am so angry, when we finalised the deal they offered me a free upgrade to 220Vac and an Australian adapter which they didn't send, not sure about the 220 VAC upgrade , The model I wanted had the c-mount adapter and they one I got didn't. BUT really there is not much I can do about it. It would cost a fortune to send it back.

Off to Shepparton now to buy a travel adapter to see if I can get it to work. more money really sucks, considering I thought I had everything covered, how much can I complain on ebay.

If you paid for it by paypal you can make a claim............ https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;...&isSrch=Yes

Paypal will suspend their payment until they solve the issue as you will have buyer protection by using paypal.

and ebay resolution centre http://resolutioncentre.ebay.com.au/

What is PayPal Buyer Protection?

Question :

Answer :

If you bought something on eBay but didn't receive it or you received something that's significantly not as described, PayPal can help.

PayPal Buyer Protection will cover eligible transactions for the full purchase price plus original postage charges. (Some purchases, including vehicles in the Motors category, capital equipment in the Business & Industrial category and Property, aren't eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.)

To qualify for PayPal Buyer Protection:

* Use PayPal to purchase an eligible item on eBay.

* Pay for the item with one payment. Items purchased with multiple payments are not eligible.

* Send the payment using the Pay Now button or the eBay invoice.

* Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening a dispute in the Resolution Centre within 45 days of the payment date. Then, escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days of the date you opened the dispute.

* Keep your PayPal account in good standing.

I received something I bought on eBay and it's not how it was described in the listing. What can I do?

Question :

Answer :

An eBay item should be accurately represented in its description. If you received an item that's different than described, go to eBay's Resolution Centre for help.

Here's how:

1.

Log in to your eBay account

2.

Click eBay Security & Resolution Centre at the top of the page.

Alternately, you have the option to file a dispute through the PayPal Resolution Centre.

Note that you must resolve the transaction in the same resolution Centre that you first reported the problem.

Here’s how to reach the PayPal Resolution Centre:

1.

Log in to your PayPal account.

2.

Click Resolution Centre at the top of the page.

PayPal has several programmes to help protect your purchases. To learn how our dispute process works, view our How to Dispute a Transaction guide in the Resolution Centre.

If you would like to take a more pro-active approach you could always try voodooism :( .... not tried it myself but I'm sure they'd be some satisfaction derived from sticking pins into a wax representation of these unscrupulous so and sos!

Paypal seems to act quicker.

They freeze his account which gets his undivided attention and makes him happy to fix things as he cannot access money others have sent him.

I was going to say how exciting!! But oh gosh what disappointment and frustration you must be feeling! :( I do hope you are able to have it all rectified, so much effort and hassle for someone else's mistake.

I agree - Paypal is the way to go. I know they act fast and it works. I made a claim through them once after the seller refused to make contact with me (I made 4 enquiries over two weeks) and PAypal got onto it straight away. The seller made contact quick smart after that.

Good luck :raincloud:

Hay I don'tr want tobe a party pooper,

but did you send the right order number,

if so,the job will be right,Don't worry about

Karma, thats not going to fix the problem

or sticking pins in a voo doo doll. :raincloud: :(

The order number is on the microscope I chose and won right well yes and I have kept the emails for the free offer and upgrade also.

I have decided to keep the microscope that I arrived.

So today I unpacked it and set it up.

Put the dump wrong adapter in but anyway it works, SOOOOOOOOOOO happy. Nothing shorted out or blew up to my amazement.

Next step out to the aviary and pulled a feather on a french baby and after playing with dials for awhile worked it all out sort of :D any I managed to focus it with the 10 eye piece and the x4 fingy bob actually objective I think it is called and I screamed Greg look at this I have red mite in my birds, BUT after magnifing it higher 10 eye piece to x10 objective I think , anyway it turned out to blood :) .

Greg was really excited so he rushed out to his pigeon coup and brought back a young pigeon and a book called Keep your pigeons flying which has illustrations of alsorts of lice, louse and what ever.

Well he said can you grab that  and this young bird had bugs on it so after a I managed to catch one in my fingers B) no it really wasn't that bad as the bird only had a few on it and Greg was treating them after I took the bug..

Anyway I put it under the scope and wow to my amazement it looked wonderful and creepy, a feather louse long and skinny minus a couple of legs that I must of tore off when trying to grab it.

I wish I could post you all a image of it but I don't have a camera yet. Hopefully for my birthday which is 4 months away.

BUT this microscope idea is great.

Tomorrow and I going to check more feathers on my birds and some droppings.

GB you can send me some soon if you want as I have ordered that book but I don't know when it will be here, Hoping real soon.

If you do make it fresh and put it in say a sandwich bag then wrop it in a frew layers of foil to help stop it from drying out. That's what I have to do when I send my birds dropping to Doug Black.
