Hi Gb at the moment i am just breeding for self satisfaction and dom pieds as i know i can get them

I would have paired them the other way , Put your opaline spangle with the pied hen , this will give you a nice combo of colours and then you put the pied cock to the normal hen ( Possible Violet) , Reason is the cock bird is a double dominant pied and so he is loosing his markings , if you pair to a normal you will move back to the more marked dominant pied a single factor.

Thanks Matt i am going to let these guys have a clutch together each and then possibly swap them around for different results

this is why i asked as pairing a dom with a df dom well yes you get doms he hee

but with the other hen you will get single factor doms in lovely colours :D

but then again the df dom is green so all chicks would be green unless hes split blue

the hen looks to be cobalt single factor gf ( mabe violet but dont think so )flash was use right ?

do you know much about the birds backgrounds

is the cocks split to anything :D

i guess its all just for fun by sounds of it no real colour or mutation wanted for bar dom and well you will get that but swap the pairs aroundyou will get more doms straight up

Hi Gb thanks for the reply

wiuht the cocks im not sure at the cock in pair one but with the ooaline spangle cock i did have is sister and she was blue and white instead of green and yellow like he is so i do think he is split blue but there was also other colours like them in the carry cage he came from(at a bird show)

other then that i do not know anything else

once i see what these guys make as the pairs they are in i will see what i can do and go from there

yes the flash was used

thanks for the replies Lewis :D

Pair 1 have been seen mating

Plus the following year you could breed the babies from pair one to the babies from pair two, and it will be like breeding all 4 original birds together. (You'll mix it all up! :rip: )

Assuming he is keeping them :sadsorry:
