Posted January 8, 201015 yr I thought it was time for a update on Roxy and show some pics of how she has turned out. Some people on the forum would remember her but the new members would not so a quick background to her story. I had a hen decided to attacked her own chicks, 2 were only plucked so another forum member foster them in one of her nests but 2 others were not in a good condition so i decided to handraise them. One died but Roxy survived . For a few days i was not sure if she would pull through but she did and now she is 18 months old and still going strong. Even though she lives in the aviary now she still is very special to me and comes to me for a chat every day. She has heaps of blue colouring on her back. When i sit in the aviary she comes and visits me along with 2 other budgies who i handraised.
January 8, 201015 yr Thats so sweet that they still come to you even though they're now in an aviary. How beautiful Edited January 8, 201015 yr by maesie
January 8, 201015 yr Aww, she's turned out well Deb You did so well and I'm pleased you still have that special bond with her.
January 8, 201015 yr I did not know that Roxy lived in the aviary. That is great. I am pleased she has not forgotten you. Do you plan on letting her have a clutch in the future?
January 8, 201015 yr Author I did not know that Roxy lived in the aviary. That is great. I am pleased she has not forgotten you. Do you plan on letting her have a clutch in the future? I am thinking about breeding her this year but still trying to work out a good male for her. Would love to get some bubs with the same beautiful opaline markings that she has.
