hi, i have a pair that have 4 chicks, aged 39, 36, 34 & 28 days. The oldest 3 are out of the box, eating & drinking & helping to feed chick 4 who is yet to come out.

Mum & dad have been mating & I was wondering if it is okay to add another box to the cage, it's pretty big, so mum can have her 2nd clutch without evicting bub. Mum has egg bum, so due to lay soon?

So, do I add another box, remove mum to a separate cage or what???

Any advice would be great.

Your youngest chick is old enough to be out of the nestbox. Remove it to a icecream tub on the cage floor.
