Posted January 1, 201015 yr Hey guys!! I hope everybody had a great New year's eve!!! Today l took some pictures of Jasper eating millet seeds from my hand. And a quick video of him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6y4Vhlro2E He was so calm today, that l decided to let my 5 year old niece handle him. She adores birds. But she was a little afraid of Jasper. Since she has never held a bird before. So l told her that it was fine and we could try again tomorrow or another day. Jasper was a very good boy while l handled him during this time. He got an extra treat
January 1, 201015 yr A very cute little dalmation budgie you have there Dave, if it were anyone else, I would not correct their spelling . But since you are a teacher, and we all want to help you be a better speller , I will give you a tip: there is no "o" in Dalmatian! (A good way to remember it is to compare it to an Australian, you wouldn't call yourself an Australion, would you?) Sorry, that is my little plug for Dalmatian lovers everywhere, it is the thing that bugs us most! By the way, Birdluv, before I got distracted by Dave's comment, I was going to say that I just LOVE Jasper's spots!! Reason for edit: correct my spelling. Edited January 1, 201015 yr by Finnie

Looks like you are very lucky to have each other. Well done. i was thinking he was eatting like he had not been feed for a night i hope you are feeding him nightly not trying to tame him by with holding food as if you want to tame by holding back food you dont not feed then offer food their is a way to tame through offering less food so bird still a bit hungry but not so its starving and i dont recomend it unless your bird is very very untamable im sure he was just injoying his treat as bird love i know you dont condole bad treatment of birds but incase i thought id let you know a bird can die with one night without seed when young 2 nights with a adult bird just thought id write it for thoughs that did not know that
January 3, 201015 yr Author Thanks everyone. Yes he loves his millet. I do feed him daily but he makes it seems like l starve him Today he went after the millet like a vulture again. He sat on my niece's finger too. l then went into the living room with him on my finger. To my surprise he was comfortable enough to sit on my mom and sister's finger too. He is very tame.
