(read on him on taming and bonding or brining home a new budgie ) and well at night he TRANSFORMS! into a bat! no not really it just sleeps like one i have found that it never sleeps on is perch! only on the bars of the cage UPSIDE DOWN! like a bat! so cute!

Hi, When I first got my birds I posted on the same behaviour. From the response I got( from the forum) this is perfectly normal, they have all sorts of strange sleeping habits.Not a problem.

December 22, 200915 yr It is very common. Younger birds do it alot. I have lots of times looked into the kindy cage, counted the birds on the perches, worried one or two were missing, then looked up to see them hanging upside down asleep from the cage roof. Very normal behaviour.
