Posted December 20, 200915 yr My daughter's budgie was left near a pan of varsol, a paint thinner type solvent. Not sure how long, maybe an hour. She went to move him around 2:00, and he was fluffed up and quiet, but he could perch when she moved him to another cage downstairs and away from where the solvent was being used. Then she found him lying on the bottom of his cage at 5:00 pm. Some reaction when he was picked up, eyes opened, some wing movement, but not standing, weak neck movement. He's at the vet now and in oxygen, with heat, at least for overnight (7:00 pm here now). He looks better now than when he went in, but the vet is not optomistic. Is there anything more that can be done? What are his chances? Edited December 20, 200915 yr by mtbdad
December 20, 200915 yr What are his chances ? Your vet is the best one to know having seen him. Question .....how did this happen ? Who didnt think ahead to the budgies safety and welfare ?
