December 17, 200915 yr Author Excellent You'd have to be really happy with that mate :grbud: yep sure am ... i knew hunting down thoughs good backgrounds and bloodlines was worth the time and effort rather than buying what ever i could get it makes me understand totally what people mean by its the blood as well as the bird
December 17, 200915 yr Author She a ripper Gb what's her back ground shes got some good blood in her off top of head she is from my gina house bird and his blood lines are good but not sure if i should paste all over bird sight as that would give away the make up of her birds sorry the hen is one i saw potential in from pet shop only a bcv coded here is picture presenting to him ... lol and first day in aviry ..but not in their now have all babys in baby cage now i love her spangling
December 17, 200915 yr You'd have to be real happy its a hen and size wise how does she compare to her parents when side by side ? Do you still have the parents ? Edited December 17, 200915 yr by KAZ
December 18, 200915 yr Author You'd have to be real happy its a hen and size wise how does she compare to her parents when side by side ? December 19, 200915 yr Author here is the hen from the mother of the green spangle she is half pet half show but i will be using her for my show stock as she has a lovely mask and head she is five months this taken yesterday i think she will be good use in my stock i might even put her to the grey green split/lacewing cock bird ..father of grey green spangle elly as he would fix her nipped head
December 19, 200915 yr You just have to hope that she passes on the good features, and not the pet-type size
December 19, 200915 yr I don'5t think you can class a budgie, half show half pet,its a bit like a glass of water. is it half full or half empty. You call it one or the other,it a pet type or show type. Its hard enough to breed a good budgie,to be fiddleing around with pet shop type birds.
December 19, 200915 yr Author You just have to hope that she passes on the good features, and not the pet-type size no dave i know she wont pass on any size issues as shes from a 3 year line of breeding and no probs their so wouldnt try if i hadnt got good history on her familey grandad is a show type grand mum a half show her father is show size but not as good as grandad and this hen is as good as grandad but wider and beter direction not as nipped so its about the challange im just enjoying with some playing seeing how far i vcan go with certain things i have my serious birds also
