Posted December 7, 200915 yr can anyone tell me what a budgies favourite food is? i have tried so many fruits and veg but he just wont eat any of them, do they eat cheerios? or anything like that. im worried he is going to get fat if he doesnt eat any fruit.
December 7, 200915 yr Have you tried broccoli, spinach, other greens, and carrots? Also celery tops (just the leaf part)

December 7, 200915 yr Try peas, corn and carrot he is bound to eat it once he takes to that chop up some broccoli celery and grated beetroot., just offer it all the time and he will start eating sooner or later
December 7, 200915 yr Some budgies take a bit to get used to new foods, I'd keep offering it to them and see how you go. You could sprinkle some seed on top to encourage him to taste it or try millet spray......
December 7, 200915 yr My only eat chopped or grated, they ignore wholes bits except they love corn on the cob :flowers: , oh and I do put big slices of lemon and orange in for them too and they love it and it helps prevent megabacteria

December 8, 200915 yr They probably won't at the start but if you keep offering and leaving it there for a while they will, young birds try things faster than the adults

December 8, 200915 yr My birds seem to like getting their fruit and veg whole....... whole carrots, cobs of corn, beetroot, broccoli. I don't mind makes it easier for me.
