A Real Man Killer!

Hi Everyone,

This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but is it possible for a hen to be more "sexed" than other hens?

i have a beautiful violet hen that seems to attract nearly all the boys when she is in breeding condition, even cocks that already have mates!

She has a favourite mate, but whenever they are mating, the poor cock has other cocks trying to mate with him!

Is there anything, apart from removing her, which I really don't want to do, that I can do to stop this?

This happens even when there are no boxes in sight!

I am worried that I may lose some of my boys from fighting over her.

This might also sounds really weird, but you could possibly stop it by gently cutting off her purple cheek patches with scissors. The cheek patches are what attracts a mate.
