Posted December 5, 200915 yr I have clipped my budgies wings, I know that some of you are against clipping wings but Skye isn't the tamest bird. Anyway the feathers grow back in a couple of months, Marigold's are starting to now. I have let Skye out twice and he's is starting to sit on me. His only problem is that he bites, hard! How do you stop a budgie from biting? Edited December 5, 200915 yr by KAZ
December 5, 200915 yr If you do a search you will find tons of topics on this it is such a common question. I guess it really should be added to the FAQ's too .
December 13, 200915 yr I know that some of you are against clipping wings This is not exactly true. Clipping wings is necessary for those who train them to be tame. Although I wouldnt personally clip wings as I dont have the need to tame a budgie....I DO understand those that do Noone can be against wingclipping really as it truly is a personal choice made with good intentions and for a very good reason
December 13, 200915 yr Author Thanks for saying that Kaz, I wasn't really sure whether it was the right thing, but anyway, it is already starting to grow back and he can fly across the room.
