My Normal green hen Kiwi has no sign of Iris's and she is past one year old, why is this?

Her younger brother from another clutch already has his and he's only 6 or 7 months old and he has the split for recessive pied spot on his head.

Oh no it's turning brown now, and I thought they only turned brown when in condition

Maybe it's just natural variation in eye colour like we have.... Piccolo got his light grey iris at about 6 months old, and Cosmo still has a pretty dark grey one even though he is around 18 months old

If you read my topic on my dominant pied with no iris rings as an adult it was determined by budgerigar judges that it is due to the recessive pied inheritance and can happen sometimes.
