I just wondering how long after babies hatch should they be feed by mum>>>>>>>

Is it right away or after 24 hours!!!

right away in the first hour or so i think x

i dont normally worry untill about 4 hours then if not feed by eight i move chick or if chick looking weak i move to get fed and then once feed by diffrent hen i stick it straight back with mum and cheack again in few hours

im not sure when really so but im sure some one else will

u would think i would know but honestly i dont

it was born this morning and have been checking and looks like it has been fed only a little though,

can see seeds and food and bit of air aswell is that a bad sign!!

 

Unfortunately I dont have a foster mum at this stage at all.....

 

How full should they be if fed properly in terms of visually!!

just the smallest little dot of yellow stuff is needed

seed is not good nor is air is mum new mum

i wouldnt worry though and if you say it has some food in crop i would just leave this bird now

check in morn you could be disturbing mum

its all good then leave her do her job or you may stress here and she will pluck when chicks older
