Posted October 29, 200915 yr Hi Everyone, I just thought I'd introduce myself seeing as I am new and all. My name is Kathleen and I live in Sydney. I've always loved animals but I've just started owning budgies. Aren't they so cute! We have 15 budgies in the household, 12 of which are mine. 1 pet budgie, 2 young that are being hand feed and 12 outside budgies which I'm hoping to breed in the future. We also own 2 lorikeets, 6 cockatiels, 4 peach faces, 2 rabbits and a ferret. This is our pet budgie Angel And the two young ones that I'm hand feeding from pictures I've seen on the internet I'm guessing they're around 18 days old? (The pictures were taken on Sunday (4 days ago) but they haven't changed all that much. Thanks, Kathleen

October 29, 200915 yr Welcome to the forum. From the looks of those little ones, you are doing an excellent job of hand feeding them. We love photos on here, and your post with those photos is wonderful. I am eager to see those little ones feather uo completely. They appear so dark. I cannot see any blue near their tails, nor yellow in their wing feathers, so grey? very dark, very cool. Keep the pics coming.

October 30, 200915 yr Author Thank you everyone for all the welcomes! I'm not sure how I ended up with my little babies. Right time right place I guess, aren't I lucky! I was actually given them for free by the guy who runs the bird shop we visit (frequently I might add LOL). He said a guy just came in and gave them to him because he didn't want them anymore. So he hand feed them for a few days along with the other babies he's raising but he didn't really have the time for them along with everything else. So I come along and he knows I love budgies and have hand feed other birds before so he just asks if I want them. So far they have yellow faces and the tiniest bit of yellow on their tails with a bluish grey stomach and back. They are so cute ... so here are some more pictures. Sorry for the bad quality but they wouldn't keep still! (also would anyone be able to tell the sex of the smaller one? I know the pics don't make it easy.) I'm guessing they're around 22 days old now?
