recently got myself another budgie crowney - i'm guessing it's a boy and a yellowface type 2 ?? here are some pics. schyler is the blue recessive pied. guessing she's a girl but not sure. and i'm a bit worried about schyler. she is itching a lot, always preening herself more often. is this usual ? i am hoping since it's spring time she's just going through her first molt or feather change for the season ? she also seems a bit thiner than crowney.

Since you used a flash on your camera to take these photos, it throws out the actual cere colours we can see. So we cannot tell you for sure.

If by any chance the ceres have a lot of white on them it makes them females.

okay...............so is the ceres white then ?

on schyler yes some white on the cere. on crowney it's mostly purplish/blue

You didn't mention that you quarantined your 2nd bird from your existing bird, yes?
