December 29, 200915 yr Author they look great. I have given it some thought, and I do prefer the blue greywings - still Those babies are split blue so more blue ones will come eventually
December 31, 200915 yr Author I have a strong feeling this greywing mother wants another clutch. Two babies still in the nestbox. As they are in a bank of three horizontal cages I wish to disassemble ( and they are the last inhabitants ) AND it would be her third clutch, it wont be happening. What to do. Move them all to another cage with babies on the floor of the cage for dad to feed them, maybe Mum in a rest cage ? Decisions, decisions. The youngest greywing chick is going to be the better chick based on "feather" from what I can see. youngest older chick
January 4, 201015 yr Author Two baby greywings now in the kindie cage eldest youngest siblings to this one Edited January 4, 201015 yr by KAZ
January 4, 201015 yr Well they really look stunning Kaz and have loadsa potential. I hope they go onto develop length and shoulders! ... and of course they will be bang on the 18 months mark for National Selections next May ... Well and truly grown up by then! Edited January 4, 201015 yr by renee

January 8, 201015 yr Author Love, love, love the greywings :emoticon112: This little fella is growing up before now
January 10, 201015 yr Someone looks like he's been munching on carrot, the gorgeous boy! They're all turning out so beautifully!
January 11, 201015 yr do blue rings go to nat's All rung budgies are eligible for Nationals. Although the breeder could have to be a member of a recognized Club ... not sure about that. However, if you mean this year's nationals the answer is no. Because even though the Blue ring date started on September 1 2009, the rings read 2010! So, this May 2010 only Red rungers are eligible (ie. birds rung between 1.01.2009-31.08.2009) AND next May 2011 Blue rungers are eligible (ie. birds rung between 1.09.2009-31.08.2010). :grouphug: Edited January 11, 201015 yr by renee

January 12, 201015 yr Author Despite a very rough night in the flights last night............all birds were flying about madly into walls and mesh as something had frightened them......the greywing babies are coping very well.

Each state/zone body controls the issue of rings bearing the secret code. January 29, 201015 yr Author Nice! Looking forward to seeing them moulted out. You bringing any to the State Show Kaz? I will try, assuming they are in condition and have full tails etc :laughter:
January 29, 201015 yr wow kaz you are doing well with your grey wing i wish my clearwings wear that bigDon't despair Shannon! Greywings and Clearwing varieties are completely different, a good Greywing can compete with a Normal dominant variety but Clearwings don't. :laughter:These two out in the aviary.... As much as I like the Blue series Greywings, this one is a ripper!
