Posted October 11, 200915 yr Hi everyone, This is my first time breeding so just looking for tips and starters, we have five babie budgies at the moment, the first of which hatched on the 2 October. I tried to access my photobucket account but it wouldn't let me, so I'll just have to get some photos on later, is their any other way to insert pictures? Will try to get pictures sometime today...

October 12, 200915 yr Green is dominant and the only way you will get any blue babies is if the green Dad is split for blue.
October 12, 200915 yr Author Yes, I had supposed that, but he was bred in an avairy with many different colours and cannot be tracked back, I guess only time can tell...
October 12, 200915 yr When the chicks get their pin feathers on their wings......if yellow, all in likelihood it should mean green chicks, and if pins are white it will mean blue series chicks.

My babies go into a kindie cage when they are eating on their own. I dont decide by their age, but by their state of wellbeing. Without their parents, but most often with other babies. Its where they learn to eat well, play with others, fly and socialise.
October 14, 200915 yr Author The pin feathers have started to come through, we think they are a whitish colour, but we are not sure, a couple of the others seem to have yellow coming through. We will try to get pictures tomorrow.
