July 6, 201014 yr You have a pretty good ratio of hens over there Kaz. You must be pleased with that, it is always better to breed good hens and buy and bring in males. It would also be cheaper, as really good hens, like the ones you are breeding now, would cost a fortune.
July 6, 201014 yr I'm always impressed with your birds Kaz, and those hens are a fine example of your breeding success :fear
July 6, 201014 yr Nice hens Kaz , I really think some of them lovely normal hens should jump on the plane and come to splats place As splat really really needs normal birds of good quality
July 6, 201014 yr Author Nice hens Kaz , I really think some of them lovely normal hens should jump on the plane and come to splats place As splat really really needs normal birds of good quality Kaz needs normal hens for her greywing breeding as they wont be split cinnamon or split opaline
August 1, 201014 yr Three pretty girls, all getting ready for an upcoming breeding season soon I am guessing. You must be pleased that they all turned out to be hens. Good cocks seem easy to come by, and you have some great ones, but hens are like...well, to use a phrase you have used in the past.... hen's teeth. I was right at the beginning all that time ago, Frannie is my favourite.
August 1, 201014 yr Author Three good hens and all normals..............must be an omen to use them in my greywing breeding for some good splits.
August 1, 201014 yr why do you need to use them for splits? I did not think that Greywings reduced in size like other recessive varieties. Is this more to introduce good characteristics?
August 1, 201014 yr Author why do you need to use them for splits? I did not think that Greywings reduced in size like other recessive varieties. Is this more to introduce good characteristics? Greywing to greywing pairing wont get you far for long. You need to pair to good normals to get better splits and then put them back to the greywings.
August 20, 201014 yr why do you need to use them for splits? I did not think that Greywings reduced in size like other recessive varieties. Is this more to introduce good characteristics? Even if you breed dark factor to dark factor you take the chance of loosing size.
