Hi obviously i am new to this forum, so i thought i'd better introduce myself and my birds..

My name is Anne marie and I live in the wonderful Hunter Valley. I have many children which include humans, dogs, birds and fish. For now I'll just tell you about 3 of my birds which are of course budgies. Their names are Azul (blue), Snowy(white) and Leo(green) (think Leo might be a girl). They are about 2mths old and I have had them for about 1 week now. Here is a photo of them. Oh and if anybody can help me identify as to what type of budgies they are that would be great..

PS sorry about the mess on the cage floor... Cleaned it after the photo maybe should have done it first.

Hi Anne Marie and welcome.....

I am not to good yet with mutations but the others will corrct me if I'm wrong....

Azul... looks grey to me but it could be the picture or my pc.....so if it's blue I'd say Opaline.

Snowy...we need a front shot, but I'd say sky blue recessive..

Leo...looks like a clearbody...

Can you get a few more close up shots?

Again welcome and have a good lokk around there is heaps you can learn.... :D

Hi

I've done the best that the birds would let me.. Like I said I've only had them a week so they are a bit skittish still. Getting better..

Hope the pictures have turned out well enough

And Snowy..

Anne marie

okay...

Azul...same

Snowy....same

Leo....not a clearbody, looks like a YF grey/green cinamon opaline.

As I said I'm still learning mutations, so see what the other guys say.... :D

By the way....beautiful budgies... :D

Maybe it is my monitor, but I think they are:

Azul - opaline grey - cannot tell as you used a flash and it is too far away, but my first guess is female

Snowy - sky blue recessive pied - always hard to tell gender from the cere of recessive males

Leo - greygreen opaline cinnamon wing female.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

You have a sky recessive pied (can't see the sex - photo close up without flash will help)

A grey green cinnamon opaline (hen)

And a Grey opaline (Can't see sex again)

Welcome Aboard ^_^

Hi and welcome, adorable babies ^_^

Hi and welcome!

I agree with dave & libby on colours and my best guess on the sexes, with the photo's being as they are, is all females (but snowy is hard to tell due to recessive pied cere and photo quality). Male recessive pieds ceres never go blue but remain a pinky purple colour. A white cere on leo would indicate a female.
