I am wanting to find out if my new little girl is a Yellowface Dark-Eyed Clear or a Recessive Pied with very little colour? She has a few blue feathers on her front and some green between her wings and that is it. Her father is a Rec. Pied and her mother a Clearflight Pied split for Rec. Pied, and her brother is a DEC. The only reason I don't think she is also, is the fact of her coloured feathers.

What a puzzler, she looks like a DEC personally to me and maybe the spots are faults OR she could be a Recessive Pied with another mutation masking it but what I am not sure yet, it is too early for me to think LOL. She is a stunner. I am interested to see what others think.

I would suspect she is DEC with some suffusion.

Okay thanks. Also, her father is split Opaline (one of her sisters is Opaline) so is there anything I can look for on her to find out if she is maskig Opaline or not?

I may be wrong here, but I think if she were opaline, the YF would be present in her primary flights. Other than that (if its even correct) test breeding is the way to go.
