You can see why I am getting suffusion using green and blue birds but they mix so well. I am focusing on the bird first then I will worry about variety once I have type.

His son there were 2 the first year MB got his brother and a sister the next year

The paired the yellow Df with a cobalt spangle my idea of a bad mating at the time because of colour but look what I got. I will put the cobalt spangle up later.

Hey splat - you might be getting bad suffusion in your DF spangles but the dark factor on the normal spangles is lovely.

Got a question though....... the light green spangle cock - how come there are yellow feathers through the body colour? Or is that just a random thing?

Unbelievable colors---if the hen with "bad suffusion" needs a home...

Thenks Nubbly I will work on the suffusion next year, I actually tried to to the Yellow Df with the suffusion (father of the nice birds I am getting now with a grey hen but she laid 4 eggs then attacked him so I took him out as I do not want to loose him, the eggs were clear. The light green spangle with a bit of yellow in his body must be random, that's not good is it for showing as his body is not solid.

Thanks Kate but she is a keeper, even though she has suffusion she also has type and feather she will be used to improve my spangles and I am going to try DF spangle to DF spangle next year. :)

Splat....

I am no expert by any means but this guy has to have good qualites for showing??....stunning...

He looks like he has fur not feathers !!

Thanks Anne, yes he came 3 rd at the victorian young bird shield and was selected on the National team to go to tassie but he didn't go. I have taken him to two shows and both shows he has won best young bird in beginners and his sister the sky cinnamon spangle won best opposite sex to him. ^_^
