normal cobalt blue cock and an opaline cobalt blue hen? Their first baby turned out to be a normal skyblue and now we have the three that hatched last week and they just have tiny little pin feathers so I'm wondering what the likelihood is of any other colours or will they all be skyblue too?

Thanks :ohmygod:

Cobalt to cobalt gives you 25% skyblues, 50% cobalts, and 25% mauves and any cocks will be split opaline.

You will know your opalines in the nest when they have down and no feathers yet as their down will be snowy white.

Then so far I think two of the three are opaline...the third one is still pretty bald..LOL. The first two are very snowy white and there is a bit of greyish-blue on their wings now. I am so looking forward to seeing them when they have all their feathers. Their "older sister" (from the last clutch) is a normal skyblue.
