When i check my baby budgies this morning i could hear a chirping sound coming from the egg that is due to hatch today but it still has not hatched. Is it normal for it to chirp for a few hours before it hatched?

I agree Kaz heard this a few days ago myself, even a bit later you can hear chick pecking to get out. Big thrill.

It was amazing to hear. The chick hatched last night and is doing well.

Very cool Deb I too have heard the peeps of a soon to hatch chick, but it didn't manage to get out of its egg alive... I look forward to following the journey of this little one...
