Posted September 22, 200915 yr Hi. I have three new chicks (hen layed five but two were damaged). The cock is a light green opaline and the hen is a yellow face cobalt blue normal. Already the oldest chick has grey fluff and it appears to have yellow looking feathers coming through. What do you expect from this. Any opinions would be great.
September 22, 200915 yr Green is always dominant so unless the cock is split for blue your results will all be green based birds.
September 22, 200915 yr the oldest is a green cock split for opaline. opaline chicks will have white down rather than grey all opaline chicks in the nest will be female too.
