September 18, 200915 yr Its the age old way to sex human babies.....not the nut and string but same principal. PENDULUM on string or thread. In our family we always used a wedding ring on a length of hair to sex a soon to arrive baby in the family. You can use a crystal on a string anything really. September 23, 200915 yr Author I'm not really sure which part was unclear. I posted the link because I found it amusing that such an old method was being used. However, the site owner is very confident that it works. I wondered why it was necessary to use it when the gender of most chicks can so readily be identified visually.
