Its the age old way to sex human babies.....not the nut and string but same principal. PENDULUM on string or thread. In our family we always used a wedding ring on a length of hair to sex a soon to arrive baby in the family. You can use a crystal on a string anything really. You can set it to answer YES and NO questions.

lol Oh, yes, I recognised the method. The weight was always a wedding ring for pregnant women. I'd not heard of it being used on a hatchling. Why would you need to?

I'm not really sure which part was unclear. I posted the link because I found it amusing that such an old method was being used. However, the site owner is very confident that it works. I wondered why it was necessary to use it when the gender of most chicks can so readily be identified visually.
