Posted September 15, 200915 yr ANY HELP WITH WHAT THIS COCK IS? ANYBODY EXPLAINING HIS MARKINGS TO ME WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. I AM ONLY NEW TO BUDGIES!
September 15, 200915 yr Author Looks like a grey green opaline dominant pied spangle to me. I understand the grey green and the dominant pied, but which of his markings relate to opaline and spangle?
September 15, 200915 yr Dominant pied spangle opaline grey green cock. Opaline is obvious - body colour in the wings Spangle is obvious - white tail marking with black tip, white cheek patches, bulleted throat spots Dominant pied is obvious - patchy chest colour, clearflights and wings (to a degree) Grey + green again a simple one.
September 15, 200915 yr The trick here is that the spangle markings are suffused with the grey green body colour which makes him difficult for you to tell what he is. The green markings on his yellow wings make him an opaline spangle, google image search opaline spangle and normal spangle and you will soon learn the difference.
