Posted September 9, 200915 yr Hi everyone you may remember Ollie from some of my other posts and I mensioned I was trying to teach him to talk, well I've made this video to ask and show you. He's only 4 months old and I've been trying since he was put in a cage on his own. Which is maybe 2 months maybe less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NALkcihKLTI...re=channel_page I hope it works. September 9, 200915 yr Author I wanted to share some pictures with you. Adoring his cuteness Ollie playing with a pony bead toy I made him, yes I have become creative like you forum-er's too. Ollie showing off his cuteness, he' s going through his first molt and has no throught spots, LOL
September 10, 200915 yr He is a cutie. I tried to listen to your video but l couldn't really hear your budgie talk. Because Tequila started to chirp really loud and would not stop Edited September 10, 200915 yr by birdluv
September 10, 200915 yr He sounds like he is trying to make some specific sounds amid the cheerful chatter. Django has been chattering in a similar fashion for about two months now and his vocalisations have just begun to sound like "cutiepie", which we've been teaching him for the past 5 months! September 10, 200915 yr Author He is a cutie.I tried to listen to your video but l couldn't really hear your budgie talk. Because Tequila started to chirp really loud and would not stop I know what you mean when I was making the video Ollie was talking to it too, "I was like it's just you!"He looks a bit strange without his thought spots, don't you think? He sounds like he is trying to make some specific sounds amid the cheerful chatter. Django has been chattering in a similar fashion for about two months now and his vocalisations have just begun to sound like "cutiepie", which we've been teaching him for the past 5 months!Me and my younger sister keep hearing him say "Ollie" or "Kiss, kiss" which is what I have been saying to him I'm constantly saying Ollie to him, because that's his name and I've taught him to kiss on command so that's where "Kiss, kiss" may come from.
September 14, 200915 yr sweet sounds, I can hear him making kissing sounds Mine is also 4 months old and he is amazingly clear with his speech, I am absolutely stunned He says "what's ya doing?" soooooo clearly :emoticon112: he also does kissing sounds and clicking sounds, he wolf whistles, he says "pretty pretty pretty", "pretty boy", "good boy" and I thought I heard him say "come on Dash" yesterday So yeah, he has done well but I have been told that that is pretty uncommon, not many budgies learn to talk that clearly or that quickly
September 28, 200915 yr Author Here's another video of Ollie chattering to himself. I hope he speaks in this one because while I was recording I heard him talking... There's also music in the background because he only talks with music on and only to his favourate songs. I hope it works

October 24, 200915 yr He's definitely making "human" sounds in there! At about 47 seconds in your clip, i thought i heard "hello hello"! He sounds alot like my Peanut (who's about 7 or 8 months now) - i'm not sure what he's trying to say, but something sounds a little like "budgie" so now i'm trying to teach him to say "budgie boy"! Check out my link under Budgie Photos (or Budgie Pics? whatever it's called), it's not Peanut but it's an amazing talking budgie clip from YouTube!
