Austin - DEC cock And Cindy Dom pied hen - not sure if she is split recessive witch is what I need for more DEC's but my first few breeding pairs will be a learning curve for me...I did get a split recessive in my last purchase of birds but she is in quarantine for a while and these 2 seemed to have paired up in the avairy so I will see how it goes...

September 11, 200915 yr mmmmm. are you sure it was there beaks? the could of have accidentley stepped on the egg in a hurry or something. if there was yolk on either of there beaks the birds were trying to probably roll it underneath them and found a broken egg... if it might be the toenails i would clip them

September 29, 200915 yr Author Well.....still no babies..... I tried to candle the eggs today, first time I have done it....4 I could not see through and 1 I could, I took the one that was see through out, it was empty....I'll wait a few more days and see what happens....

Thanks Anne do not tose out hen will do that if not good or when she feels its not going to hatch she will do this when she lays a second round k i say this as i usto kill many chicks thinking they were week over i write dates and all and to be honest i killed an over due today it was 5 days over would have hatch in about two days going by its development its sad takes a few breaths and gone but i open all my discarded or over due eggs see how far they were just sometimes their late bloomers ,,,so never give up let the hen do that
