February 7, 201213 yr Hmmmmm.... So if I bred Sparta (Normal Cobalt) with a Dominant Pied Sky blue, what would be my possible outcomes? They will only be able to make combination pieds if both of them are split to recessive pied. You should start a new thread for this question.
March 4, 201213 yr What about the relationship between clearflight pieds and dompieds? Could it be possible that CFP's are just lightly marked dominant pieds?
March 5, 201213 yr What about the relationship between clearflight pieds and dompieds? Could it be possible that CFP's are just lightly marked dominant pieds? No, they are separate mutations. If you combine clearflight pied with recessive pied, you get a dark eyed clear. That doesn't happen when you combine the dominant pied gene with recessive pied.
April 27, 201213 yr Wow, bizarre!! So are we also saying that there are no such birds as double factor dominant pieds? I have a skye cock bird who is nearly white with one black eye and one with a white iris, and a pink cere, what would he be?
