November 19, 201311 yr I think it depends where you are, I get a 50ml bottle of Ivamectin for birds from a vet' practice for around $10.00 I have on average 50 birds and get at least 4 rounds of treatment, usually ever three months out of that bottle. I think the shelf life is over 12 mths. Ring a local vet and ask their price, no postage if you can get it local.
November 19, 201311 yr I went to the vet and got this tiny amount in a test tube bottle this time. Um looks like I will need more than they gave me. I done all the birds but the next round will only do half my flock. I think I might just get some avimec. they charged me 13 dollars at the vets for this tiny amount. my vet is a bit stingy and they aren't specialists in birds. Think they just make what they can off people around here. So next 10 days I will do avimec.
November 20, 201311 yr Hi all I am using Normectin pour on for cattle 5 mg/ml in an alcohol base. 500 ml bottle for $70.00 from a local farm and produce supplies. Very effective 1 drop per bird as described for other ivomectin products.
