well, if you looked in the shoutbox i have writtened there lastnight about a chick that wasnt being cared for by its mum. I saw the baby hatching out of the egg yesterday (too cute) but thats not what im herefor. I wake up this morning and checked if the first-time mum was accepting her baby again. But the baby was half dead on the other side of the nest so i just began blowing warmth breath on the baby. Ad i am keeping her in abox with a heatbag underneath. I've fed her once with polenta diluted with alot of water. But are there any tips, suggestions, or thing i can feed the baby with? Shes still alive and kicking :( Daneila

Do you have any other hens with chicks? Or know anyone who does close by? Chances of a chick surviving from 1 day old without a 'mother' is pretty slim.
