Posted August 15, 200915 yr Hey guys, l now the title sounds weird but here is some details explaining it. To understand you need to know that even though l have had budgies for over 4 years, my family never cared for any types of pet birds. Well...... a few weeks ago, l was visiting my grandma's house ( my grandma adore's any type of birds.) I took Jubejube with us to visit her over the weekend a few weeks ago. During the visit l brought Jubejube everywhere with me, while she was in her traveling cage. l did not let her out since she is still not quite tamed yet. My whole family got to know her a little. You see, when l'm at home. The bird cage's are in my room and no one really comes in. l have not taken Jubejube out to the living room yet since she isn't tamed yet but l plan on taking her into the living room daily soon. What l think is funny is the other day my sister. Who openly admits she hates my birds and want nothing to do with them. Told me that she misses seeing Jubejube and wants to know when will l bring her out to the living room. So she can interact with her Also when my sister hears Jubejube making squawking noises, she will either talk or sing back at her. Jubejube has won my sister over in only a few weeks Here is some updated picture's of Jubejube. l have now had her for one and a half months. She is starting to become use to my hand and she even will perch on my hand. When l coax her with some millet seeds Edited August 15, 200915 yr by birdluv fixing up post
August 15, 200915 yr Aw she's a real sweetheart I tend to find that people who claim they aren't 'bird people', or 'dog people', or 'cat people' just haven't really had much interaction with those species...and once they do, they find that...well, animals aren't so bad and can be downright wonderful.
August 15, 200915 yr I agree with Sunday on why people don't accept or say they don't like this or that. She is a cutie Cathy
August 16, 200915 yr one kid i know hates birds and when i let polly fly around the house he runs to the toilet and says "im getting out of here!" and my family laughs
August 18, 200915 yr Bit of a generalisation don't you think? A friend of mind has a full blown bird phobia. If she see's a bird she is in mortal fear of it understandably she hates them.
