How Do I Check If My Green Spangle Is Split Lutino?

I am just wondering how do i check if my green spangle cock is split lutino? out of a clutch of 3 he had one lutino and a clutch of 2 he had 1 lutino. Do i need to pair him with a lutino hen??

Nopes, by the fact he had lutino offspring (they'll be all hens if he wasn't paired to a lutino) Shows that he's already split :D

Thats right. Paired to a lutino you'll get about 50% inos of both sexes. About half of the inos will be masking spangle and half of the non inos will be spangles

I have had a Spangle Grey Green Cock and have breed 33 chicks from him..... the 34th was an albino hen?

After the age of two week the Dads are usually the primary feeders of the babies in nests. At fledging ( 4-5 weeks ) the dads are the ones that feed them out of the nestbox and show them how to eat.

Removing the dad at the wrong time will possibly jeopardise the chicks transition to successful weaning.

I would NOT remove him. Your other pairing will have to wait.

Besides, many feeding fathers are infertile during that time.
