Posted August 5, 200916 yr As you know, I have bought some new birds from Budgie1981. Here they are The hen had had a bit of a fight and the blood had dried. She is fine in case you are wondering. Nice spangle markings There seemed to be a lot of crouching and timidness going on when I was taking these photos. They do not look their best. I also purchased an albino hen to put to caesar in the hopes of getting some albino cocks She comes from a blue background. You can see the suffision when a picture is taken with a flash Stay tuned to this thread for some more updates!!!!!!!!!!! Edited August 5, 200916 yr by Dave_McMinn
August 5, 200916 yr I also purchased an albino hen to put to caesar in the hopes of getting some albino cocks She comes from a blue background. You can see the suffision when a picture is taken with a flash Stay tuned to this thread for some more updates!!!!!!!!!!! dave i would try putting a grey into that first or at least put all chicks to greys after you have achived some or you will end up with blue albinos everytime the sun hits them nice long mask dave shes just young still isnt she about 10 11 months ?? may i ask what breeder she came from or you rather not say which is fine thats allowed
August 5, 200916 yr Author She came from a breeder from my club. I am not sure what his last name is. As for young, she is a late 07 bird, so no, a little older than you think.I am considering whether she goes to caesar, who might get a rest, or Bruticus. Bruticus is a grey cock bred by Cec Gearing. There is no Ino in his background, but then we said that with Caesar - LOL.One generation with Bruticus, then breeding the best femal offspring to Caesar in the hop of getting that male albino - LOL.Bruticus' parents were:Sire - opaline grey green, C&B 014-04Dam - Cinn Blue C&B 468-06So he would be split opaline and split cinnamon.Bruticus is on the left i love the normal green any more like thatMaybe - maybe not as good, but some close. He is an 08 bird, though he is slouching in all the photos. Sit up straight young man!!!!!!!There may be some fellow,in the background of the Albino. Not as far as I am aware Macka Edited August 5, 200916 yr by Dave_McMinn
August 5, 200916 yr i would use the grey boy first he is perfect for her then as you say use the best grey hen from them to cecer to get your albinos then, then you can breed his chicks from that to the albino hen and a albino hen chick to the grey cock again getting more related splits then the posabilitys are endless
August 5, 200916 yr Author Cec said that the grey boy has better bloodlines and would produce the better chicks
August 5, 200916 yr Beautiful birds Dave.....really nice. You shoulda bought more Congratulations Budgie on the good birds you have for sale
August 5, 200916 yr Cec said that the grey boy has better bloodlines and would produce the better chicks well i dont know about his blood lines but his look would do better with her than cecer but thats me  i would put her to the grey then one their hens to cecer then from cecer and the grey chick i would put a albino hen to the grey cock again and if you get a split grey cock most like dad from the grey and albino pairing i would put it back to mum (the origanal albino hen )and get more albino hens from him and cecer that way im sure you will have a good plan though dave good luck i will be watching your albino breedings closley with interest
August 5, 200916 yr Good choices Dave, it looks like you have developed 'the eye' You do realise that it's all downhill from now Do resist the temptation to mortgage your house in the pursuit of your budgies ..... And let me know when you start dreaming of budgies
August 5, 200916 yr Gorgeous birds!!! You have bought well. Good luck with you albino breeding too
August 6, 200916 yr Author Most recent update - I went back!!! I was offered a good deal, so I bought three breeding pairs, a grey cinnamon wing boy I could not leave without, and I got two little youngsters what have just fledged. to come later.

August 7, 200916 yr I am working on that. He, he, he .... don't tell me you're thinking of moving to a semi rural area with a much bigger back yard - to accommodate the many flights you will need and of course the state of the art Breeding Room you have been fantasizing about!
